Greivis Vasquez

An electric atmosphere last night in College Park as the Terps pulled into a first-place tie with  Duke in the ACC with a 79-72 victory over the Blue Devils on "Senior Night."  Playing in his last game at Maryland, Greivis Vasquez scored 20 points, but his acrobatic shot with under a minute left will provide a memory that all Maryland fans will remember for a long time.  Jordan Williams, who struggled the last time against Duke, scored 15 points and contributed 11 rebounds, and made huge free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.  Adrian Bowie came off the bench and contributed 9 points while going 4-4 from the field.  With one game remaining in the ACC regular season, the Terps have positioned themselves for a deep run in the ACC tournament.

Other notables from yesterday:  The Orioles opened up their spring season with a 12-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.  Third base prospect Josh Bell hit two homeruns, one from each side of the plate, and Nick Markakis also contributed a homerun along with a double.  The Ravens placed first-round tenders on Jared Gaither, Le'Ron McClain and Fabian Washington.  They are expected to place the same tender on Mark Clayton.

Here is a rundown of today's guests:

Chuck Driesell:  The assistant coach for the Terps recaps last night's big win.

David Steele:  The AOL Fanhouse writer gives his thoughts on Maryland's victory.

Richard Collier:  The Ed Block Courage Award recipient for the Jacksonville Jaguars shares his incredible story.
