Way Back Wednesday!

Happy Way Back Wednesday!  Be sure to listen to our Pizza John's Trivia Question to find out who our guest will be.  The day has finally arrived.  Pitchers and catchers will report to spring training today and hold their first workout tomorrow.  For all the questions surrounding the Orioles, the players who will make the 25-man roster does not appear to be one of them.  There are only a couple of roster spots open (backup catcher, utility infielder, 3 bullpen arms, and possibly one starter) as spring training starts.  The biggest debate this spring will be deciding where each hitter will bat in the lineup instead of who will be in the starting lineup.  Competition is always a good thing, but I think as a young player, knowing your roster spot is secure helps more.  Instead of trying to compete to make the team, the focus can be getting ready to play a 162-game schedule and winning ballgames.
