The Ravens held their "State of the Ravens" press conference yesterday and the majority of the questions were related to the CBA and the affect it will have on the Ravens. The Ravens claim everything will be fine whatever happens and they are confident that they will still be able to field a competitive team. However, the team did say they need a playmaker at the wide receiving position and they are open to trading for that player. They think added another playmaker is paramount in Joe Flacco's development. Ozzie Newsome again said he will not put the Ravens in a bad position by drafting for need instead of the best player available. Newsome said this has always been the philosophy and his track record backs that up. I found it interesting that Steve Bisciotti said that Terrell Suggs came to camp out of shape and John Harbaugh followed with saying Suggs needs to be in town during the offseason. Bisciotti also said he was unhappy with all the penalties, and they will part ways with players who refuse to correct their technique to stop committing penalties.
