The National League finally won an All-Star game. This is the first time the NL has won since 1996 as they defeated the AL 3-1. Joe Girardi is getting criticized for mis-managing last night's game as he made questionable pitching changes, did not pinch run for David Ortiz, and did not even play Alex Rodriguez. This is why I hate that this game determines home field advantage in the biggest stage in baseball. The game is supposed to be fun, a break from the day-to-day grind of a 162-game schedule, but instead, a manager has to coach like it is game seven of the World Series. Even the Los Angeles Angels' fans were booing the Yankees during pre-game introductions. Shouldn't they be rooting for the American League to win in case they make the World Series? I would have done the same thing. The All-Star game is supposed to be an exhibition, and Major League Baseball continues to screw this up.
