Babe Ruth Birthday Bash Postponed
Got this from the folks at Maroon Public Relations ***EVENT DATE CHANGE*** SNOW FORCES BABE RUTH MUSEUM TO AGAIN POSTPONE BABE’S BIRTHDAYBASH Event Rescheduled for Friday, February 19 Baltimore, MD – The Babe Ruth Museum today announced that they are again postponing the “Babe’s Birthday Bash” event until Friday, February 19 because of the weather. “It’s unfortunate to have to now push the event back for a second consecutive week, but considering the snow that is blanketing our area it is the rightdecision,” stated the Museum’s Executive Director Mike Gibbons. “With the new storm only addiing to the tremendous snow received last weekend, our thoughts continue to center on the safety of our guests and we do not want anyone to put themselves at risk. We are hopefully that we can finally give Babe his overdue birthday party next week.” The event to celebrate the 115th anniversary of Ruth’s birth in Baltimore will still be held at Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards and take place from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Anyone who is now unable to attend the event on February 19 is encouraged to contact the Museum at 410.727.1539. Please visit www.BabeRuthMuseum.com for updates. Additionally, the Museum has moved activities from the Babe Ruth Birthplace on Saturday, February 13 to Saturday, February 20. On that day, the Museum will show rare Babe Ruth movies at the Birthplace from 12 p.m. until closing in honor of Ruth’s birthday. Admission to the Birthplace will be only $3, in honor of Ruth’s playing number. About the Babe Ruth Museum The Babe Ruth Museum operates both the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum and Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards. Since opening in 1974, the Birthplace has served as a shrine to the life and times of Ruth. Located adjacent to Oriole Park, Sports Legends Museum opened in May 2005 and consists of 22,000 square feet of artifacts and interactive exhibits profiling Maryland’s sports history. --- www.BabeRuthMuseum.com --- Contact: Tim Richardson Greg Schwalenberg Maroon PR Babe Ruth Museum 410.442.1221 ext. 104 410.727.1539 ext. 3040 Tim@MaroonPR.com GregS@BabeRuthMuseum.com
