I didn't need confirmation why Roger Goodell wants two preseason games, but after watching last night's Ravens game, I can't wait until the decision is made to reduce the exhibition season. Troy Smith probably played his way off the Ravens roster last night along with a couple of other players. Smith looked hesitant at times to get rid of the football and it led to a sub-par effort in a game he needed to perform at his best. Dannell Ellerbe made the bonehead play of 2010 with his showboating on his touchdown return and Coach John Harbaugh wasted no time letting him know. I never understood why Ellerbe was demoted from the starting lineup entering training camp after he finished the 2009 season strong, but as always, the coaches know more than everyone else. I think Ellerbe has talent and seems to be a playmaker, but maybe they can't rely on him with the mental aspect of the game just yet. The coaches are going to have some difficult decisions cutting the roster down to 53, but the hardest decision will be what kicker they keep. I think Billy Cundiff wins the job, but I can see them deciding on Shayne Graham.
